Search bar not showing music, only podcasts

My Question or Issue

On the iOS app, whenever I use the search bar only podcast results show up. For example, I typed in "anti" to look up Anti-Flag and only podcasts with "anti" in them popped up. I've tried searching for a bunch of things but only podcasts come up. Yes, I can still click the See all artists, songs, albums, etc. tabs to eventually find what I'm looking for but it's just annoying that only podcasts are immediately coming up. I don't really even listen to podcasts so I'm confused why this is happening? Is there a way to fix it?

It seems like a lot of other people are having this problem, I wonder if it's part of an update/intentional? I don't really appreciate having podcasts forced on me so I hope it's fixable, whatever it is.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community about this.

We recommend you try logging out and back in. After that perform a clean reinstall of the app following the steps in this support article. 

If that doesn't fix things, we'd ask you for some more info:

• Your device model and iOS version.
• Does this happen in all search queries or specific ones?
• Does this happen on other devices like a desktop or another phone as well? If you don't have access to another device, try using the web player.

Some screenshots would also be great 🙂

I'm having the same problem and it's only just started today, I've tried reinstalling and clearing cache and it keeps doing it

Could you tell us if this is happening on all your devices? If you don't have another device, try using the web player. Also let us know if this is happening when you're connected to a different network or using mobile data as well.

yes those steps have been followed and issue is still happening for all searches (windows 10)

It's now happening to me - the search (for songs) worked 30 minutes ago.

I have tried the desktop app and web player.

It's broken in my mobile phone version as well (android).

I recently viewed my account online. Is it related to viewing my account info which broke my search capability?

yeah i had the same problem but the way i solved it i just logged out and back in again on my device
