My Question or Issue
Search for episodes within a podcast show is currently unresponsive. You can type and submit but nothing happens.
To fix the unresponsive search in your podcast app:
Hope this helps!

It does not work, and none of the suggestions you made (restarting, reinstalling) were useful either.

It does not work in any podcast.
When you type an item into the search bar at the top of the Podcast list "Find In This Show" and hit Search, nothing changes: the text remains in the search bar and the Search button remains active. So it's obviously not working.

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the reports!
Our tech folks are currently looking into this. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.
Cheers 🤘

My Question or Issue
The “find within this show” search bar on Spotify isn’t working which makes it really hard to find podcasts based on keywords. Never had this before I don’t know if it’s because of the new iOS update or a bug in Spotify’s end.
Restart the app: Close and reopen Spotify to see if that fixes it.
Update Spotify: Make sure you're using the latest version of the app. Go to the App Store and check for updates.
Clear Cache: Go to Settings > Spotify > Clear Cache to remove any possible corrupt data.
Reinstall Spotify: If the issue still happens, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
Sorry this is happening to you but also relieved that it’s not just me. Another detail, and an odd one: when I hit search, my shift button on my keyboard lights up! But no search happens. Maybe it’s the same for others folks but they didn’t notice.
But otherwise, same issues to report, and yes — uninstalled, updated, reinstalled the Spotify app, checked for iOS updates, did them, and then reinstalled, etc., and no change.
Wow I just tried it and noticed that the shift button is highlighted after you hit search. So odd especially since search works fine for playlists.
Same problem and my shift also lights up when I hit search. Weird. I only use Spotify for topic-specific podcasts now anyway so if this feature is gone I’ll probably just delete the app tbh
Same behavior on the iPad so it must be an iOS issue.
I have the exact same technical issue. Can a moderator please assist at earliest opportunity?
Hiya, I’ve been having trouble for a few weeks with searching for specific podcast episodes within the podcast itself. AKA the “Find in this show” function is not doing what it usually does (letting me use keywords or other elements to sift through episodes quickly.) This is happening on my phone and tablet (I unfortunately use Apple products). Any support on this is helpful 🙂

Just chiming in, same thing for me, finally decided to do a google search and found this thread. Almost a week now and not able to search for an episode within a podcast. So what changed ? Change it back please
iPhone 15, I’m having the same issue. I can enter my keywords but the search button on my keyboard does nothing. Normal Spotify search still works fine.
I have been attempting to use the “Find in this Show” search feature for podcasts for weeks and it just isn’t functioning. When I type something in the search bar and click “Search”, results do not populate & the most recent episodes remain. The most that happens when I click “Search” bizarrely is that whatever I type ends up in all caps? I used to use this feature daily and I can’t seem to get it to work now.
