Why does my Spotify keep connecting to a device I don’t own?

Why does my Spotify keep connecting to a device I don’t own?

This has happened twice, I play a song and then it switches to playing on iPhone to “mini bedroom speaker” I don’t have any devices under that name. It also switches the song as if someone else is controlling it. This keeps happening until I turn my Spotify offline. I’ve tried forgetting the device and not letting others join without my permission but it hasn’t worked.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out!

In this case, my first suggestion is that you log out of all devices and web pages at once:

  1. Log in to your account page.
  2. Under Security and privacy, select Sign out everywhere.
  3. Click Sign out everywhere.

Note: This doesn’t include partner devices (ex. speakers, games consoles, and TVs), so for those go to your apps page and choose REMOVE ACCESS.

Then just reset your password:

Let me know how it goes!
