My Question or Issue

On desktop, you can take 2 (or more) playlists, add them to a folder and use that to shuffle them together. Why can’t I do this on mobile? It’s a great feature, especially with the daily mixes and Spotify is a mobile app at the end of the day, I use it on my phone when I’m out and about, not just when I’m at my desk working. Previous people have asked for this but it just gets shelved, so bringing the idea back to the table.

Hi @Megbrod,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Spotify is always experimenting with different features on different platforms, so it's possible to have a certain feature available on the desktop app, for example, but not on the mobile app.

While folders can only be created on desktop currently, you can access them via the mobile app as well. There's an idea about creating folders on your phone here, so feel free to check it out and share your feedback there.

In the meantime, you can use the following workaround on your mobile device:

  1. Create a new empty playlist.
  2. Select one of your playlists that you'd like to listen to, then tap on the three dots menu > Add to another playlist.
  3. Repeat the process by adding as many playlists as you want.

Cheers!
