My Question or Issue

The sleep timer on my Spotify has suddenly stopped working whenever I play anything. I press the sleep timer button, whatever I’m listening too has a feedback/crackle type noise then everything stops and I have to delete and re-open Spotify all together.

I’ve logged in and out multiple times. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and I’ve signed in as another person. Any help?

Hi @Mr_Brookes,

Thanks for reaching out via the Community and welcome!

It's great that you've already done some troubleshooting steps such as reinstalling the app, but just make sure you've done a clean reinstall with the steps here as it's a bit more detailed and includes clearing the cache which can cause performance issues if it's corrupted.

On another note, did you notice when this started happening for the first time and if it was after something specific? Is it only the Sleep Timer that causes this playback issue and are you streaming to an external device (such as a speaker or headphones for example)?

We'll be on the lookout for your response 🙂
