I have been having this extremely frustrating issue on my iPhone 5s where I cannot get some local files to sync no matter what. My iPhone shows up under "Devices" in my desktop client, and I have thrown all my local files into a new playlist which I have marked for offline access, but every time I try to sync them again, the same files will not sync no matter what. I've attached screenshots of what my playlist looks like and what my device looks like in my computer. The status of the syncing playlist is always stuck on "Pending", and I haven't been able to find any solutions here on the forum. It's weird to me that the same files won't sync no matter what, and I have enough space on my phone. Also, when I unmark the playlist and then mark the playlist for online access again, my phone and computer display that the files are beginning to sync again temporarily, but then revert back to "Pending" status. Is there a maximum number of local files one can sync?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I've found out some days ago that you can't syncronize all the tracks included in "local files" but only playlists made with your local files.
Just figured this out. My problem was the songs from iTunes had a time of 0:00, so I went to preferences, unchecked iTunes then checked it back, went back to my local files and the times were there. Then I synced my playlist and, boom goes the dynamite.
Im stilling having this problem. Has anyone found a solution?
Copy all your local files into a new playlist (name it whatever you want) and then try to sync that playlist.
I tried and just as before, the majority of the songs sync but the same few refuse to do so.
It could be due to a bug.
The developers of the iOS app are aware of the bugs and hopefully they will be fixed in a future update.
thats my hope but ive seen this post and others with the same problem from over a year ago. if it were to be fixed id think it would have been done by now.
