Song won’t play after 10 second mark or not at all

Song won’t play after 10 second mark or not at all

I have an iPhone X that is up to date with the latest software, I have Spotify premium and the app version I have is 8.6.48.1180


My issue is every song I play stops playing at the 9, 10, 11 second mark and then no other songs play at all. I have checked my internet connection, used my cellular data, connected to other Wi-Fis, tried off Bluetooth and on Bluetooth, cleared my cache, and offloaded the Spotify app and reinstalled it. Please help with this issue. I can’t listen to anything!

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting!

 

We understand you already reinstalled the app. Could you try performing a clean reinstall of the app? This one is more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

I just tried this, it didn’t help unfortunately.

Commenting here as I am currently experiencing the same issues. Nothing seems to help and its been weeks now. For whatever reason, it ONLY happens with my downloaded songs. Songs that I do not have downloaded play fine. It happens regardless of if I am connected to the internet or not.

Can you confirm if this occurs on one specific device or multiple devices?

We suggest that you make sure of the following:

  • Soft reset of the device
  • Try an alternative device (if possible)
  • Ensure the operating system is up-to-date
  • Ensure device has enough storage space
