Songs going on repeat mode when changing tracks

Songs going on repeat mode when changing tracks

When I'm playing a song and manually advance to another track, that track automatically goes into repeat track mode (and does repeat when finished playing).  So I turn off the repeat mode, and when the next track plays automatically or I advance to the next track, the repeat track mode turns itself on again. Anyone else experienced this? I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app...same thing happens.  I'm using iPhone 7 Plus with the most recent update, and this is occurring in my Nissan car system using an Apple lightning connector.

Mine just started doing this about 3 days ago. Very annoying. If I'm in a playlist it only plays 3 songs out of my playlist as well.

I'm having the same exact issue in my Nissan as well. Started a few days ago and it's really pissing me off. It has basically rendered Spotify useless in the car >_>

I'm having the same issue as you; also with my Nissan. This goes for my iPhone and the iPad. I've noticed that when it's not plugged into the car it works just fine. My next step is to try the AUX outlet instead of the iPod outlet.

Any more help is greatly appreciated!!

It works perfectly when playing in the aux jack, no repeating

Same issue. 2011 Nissan Cube. If you watch it, it will actually first go into Repeat All and then the next time it advances into Repeat 1. Anyone from Spotify engineering able to take look?

I'm having the same issue with my iPhone 6S in my 2011 Nissan Sentra. I use the Lightning USB cable connected into my car's iPod dock. It resets the repeat if I turn it off on the next song, just like you said. It only does it though if I use my car's controls - if I use the controls in the Spotify app it doesn't do it. However, it worked perfectly fine using my car's controls before, and it's not a smart car or anything so there's been no firmware updates, only updates of Spotify. Obviously I don't want to be holding and looking at my phone while I'm driving.

Please fix this, Spotify!

Well, since Spotify didn't/won't fix this-  I switched to Apple Music.  It works great in the Nissan!

I'm having the same issue.

My car is also a Nissan

My Nissan docking station to my iPhone 6 Plus also does this. After every song, the repeat song automatically activates itself so literally the same song keeps playing over and over until you switch it to the next song manually and then that song repeats on and on..... please fix this. It doesn't do this with other music apps on my phone.

No longer doing this on iOS 11, but now the shuffle option gets deactivated every time a new song starts

Yep I've been meaning to get on since updating. It no longer activates repeat-track, but it does deactivate shuffle on each new song. Not sure if it was the iOS 11 update that fixed it or a Spotify update.

I am having the same issue when I plug in my iPhone 6S into my Fiat 500 with a USB cord. Have there been any suggestions re: how to fix this? Getting an answer from Spotify is frustrating and near-impossible.

I’ve not seen any resolution posted by Spotify so I continue to play through my auxiliary jack. Last time I tried the charging dock, it still wasn’t fixed.

considering the same...just let us disable the repeat function if we want!

It looks like both issues have been fixed.

Yep, I'm not having any issues now either! Thanks for fixing this, Spotify.
