Hey! So, although I'm not new to Spotify, I'm new to the community, so I'll apologize in advance in case someone already solved the problem I'll expose here.
Here's the problem: I made a hip hop playlist and sorted it by artist. All the songs by the same artist used to play in the sequence they were displayed, but now they just skip randomly! For example: in this playlist, there's Rap God, by Eminem, which is followed by On Fire, also by Eminem. But when I hit the "next song" button, it skips to 'Till I Collapse, which is 3 songs BEFORE Rap God.
I'm a premium user, the shuffle option is turned off (the shuffle isn't green), so I don't know what's going on. Curious thing is: this only happens to this specific playlist. Every other playlist I play on my iPhone, be it created by me or not, play in the order displayed.
Can someone help with this thing, please? It's so frustrating and time consuming, since every time I want to listen to my playlist in the order I intended when I made it, I have to swipe song by song to the right, so they go to the "next" line.

Hi @felipeventurim,
I'm really sorry to hear that this is happening. Bear with me and we'll try and get this fixed in no time! Have you tried any basic spotify troubleshooting yet? i.e Uninstalling and reinstalling spotify or logging in and out again? Sometimes as new updates come bugs get picked up and sometimes only a clean reinstallation can fix it.
Best,
Carl
Hi @felipeventurim, Try deleting the playlist completely by clicking on the three dots next to the name. Then log onto your Spotify account online and recover it. Don't worry you won't loose any content! Then play it again.
Let me know how that goes 🙂

Hey again Carl. Did what you said, didn't work also. Any other things I should try?
On a side note, if this information is of any use, I tried to play the playlist on my iPad and the result is the same.
Hi there! I did an experiment and added my whole playlist (sorted by artist, how it should be) to the playback queue, and when I took a look at the queue sequence, it was sorted by the recently added songs, oldest to newest. This sorting is shown to me as being custom. Any thoughts?
By the way, how do I add all the songs a new playlist on one go, as you suggested?
I think I've finally solved the issue! If you click any of these titles in your desktop app, it will re-arrange the songs into your desired order whether it be by song, artist, album or the date you added the track (see below). You must've clicked one by mistake or something along those lines
Hi again! I was abroad and didn't bring my computer with me, so I couldn't check on the information you'd given, so I'm sorry about that.
Anyway, did what you told me, and problem still remains. I even tried to create a new playlist and copied the whole sequence in the desired order from the old playlist to the new one. It worked until I added any new song to it. For instance: in the new playlist, the next song to Kendrick Lamar's "Wesley's Theory" is "King Kunta" (I did not include the interlude "For Free" on the playlist), as it would be in the album To Pimp a Butterfly, from 2015. But then I added "untitled 02 06.23.2014" from the untitled unmastered album, which came out in 2016, and now it's the next song to "Wesley's Theory". Only then "King Kunta" is played.
The playlist is sorted by artist on my iPhone, iPad and Macbook's Spotify app, but only the Macbook's play the songs in the order they're supposed to be played.
Any thoughts?
