Spotify 1.7.0 crashing on sync

Just added some new local files to my starred playlist yesterday, and app was crashing when I tried to sync (about 12 songs?)

Then today the same was happening, reinstalled the app, synced all the spotify tracks fine, then tried to sync the local files (approx 150), it made it until the last 60 before crashing. Since then it syncs a couple at a time, before crashing up until the last ~45, and now it crashes immediately upon opening the app. 

Any ideas/help would be appreciated!

Doesnt work for me. Had the problem with my 4S for a few weeks aswell but had it since day one on the iPhone 6....

I've been trying this since suggested and now it suddenly works with the latest update. Am I still responsible for the two weeks of non-playability on my iPhone?

The 1.8 version on iOS 8.0.2 does not work for me. 

Tried the language switch but that did not help.

Spotifu stil crashes on start up.

When i send an song to a friend the app crashes. I also use iOS 8.0.2

I updated to the latest version of spotify and it worked for me. It no longer crashes when I try to open it.

I've upgraded and delete/installed my Spotify and now it causes my whole phone to slow to a halt even when it's running in the background. Haven't been able to use the app successfully in about a month. How can a paid app like this be the least stable one in the App Store? makes no sense. On newest iOS.

Ever since I downloaded the iOS 8 update on my iPhone 5S, I can't get Spotify to work at all. It crashed immediately upon opening. Even the recent update to Spotify didn't help that.

I can't believe how many people are experiencing this issue. Make sure you contact Spotify through Twitter (so there's a record) and ask for a refund. They should be doing it automatically for forcing people to go through so many hoops just to get their software working...
