Whats going on here? I used to do these two things all the time! Why can i no longer listen to music when the app closes/screen turns off? If i cant fix this i am considering cancelling my account. Any advice out there?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Try the following instead -
* Open the Spotify application
* Hold down the power button until the "Slide to power off" option appears
* Hold down the Home Button until the application shuts down
* Open the application account.
You should be able to play tracks just fine now when browsing outside of Spotify on your iDevice. If not, try a clean installation.
I have the same issue. I think it happened when I downloaded the new version of the app.
I've sent Spotify a complaint. I am so frustrated. I absolutely love this service but if this isn't resolved, I'm canceling my service asap and telling all my friends to do the same.
This doesn't work.

Trying now. I did delete the updated app and iOS4 works just fine. That'll be my backup plan.

David,
You should know that I got a tailored response from Spotify which I found to be less than helpful. If I hadn't used this forum, I would have likely cancelled my service and been very disgruntled.
Thank you so much for your help. I love my music.
