Spotify Playlists update only when app is on top/screen is unlocked

I haven't figured it out completely, but it seems it seems as soon as my screenlock sets in or I do other stuff with my smartphone, the downloading of new songs from my daily mixes stops. Is there a way around that?

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

That's an expected behavior, I will see if Spotify supports iOS 13 feature that allows you to do just that. Make sure to be on iOS 13.3 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

Thanks a lot, but sadly reinstalling and restarting had no effect. Using the latest Spotify on the latest iOS.

Hey @eagleton,

I'd suggest to makes sure to remove your devices for offline listening.

Also, make sure that background app refresh is enabled for iOS.

First I thought it worked, but it was a bit premature - background refresh is active, iPhone restarted, still the same.
