Spotify Volume very low!

Spotify Volume very low!

Hey Music Lovers!

I use Spotify on my JBL Charge 3 BT Speaker, on my Volkwagen Media System via Bluetooth and on my Powerbeats 3 BT Headphones. I love Spotify but the Volume is very very low. All other Streaming Apps are much louder than Spotify. I test it with Amazon Music and Apple Music and both Apps was much louder in compared to Spotify.

When i drive with my Mountainbike i use my Powerbeats 3 BT Headphones with maximal Volume and can hear me breath or sing a song.

I know that the quality of sound in Spotify is better than in other Apps but the volume too low and that sucks.

I hope anybody can understand this Text cause i'm from germany.

Greets an thanks at all!

Hi Derte89,

Don't worry about your post - it makes total sense.

The solution could be different depending on the type of device you are using to play Spotify. A possible quick solution would be to delete and re-download the Spotify app. If this doesn't work, please reply with your device name and I'll try to find a solution for you.

Hey, thanks for your answer.
I've tried to re- download the apps at all my devices but it doesnt work better. The volume also is too low at all my devices. I use it on a iPad Air 2, on a iPhone 7 and on a Windows Notebook with Windows 10. My brother and my girlfirend use Spotify on a iPhone 5s and on a iPhone 6 and they have the same problem. We have tried to change some settings but it changes anything. My friends could also confirm the problem. I think that Spotify must bring an update.

For your windows notebook, trying downloading this add-on called Equalify:

http://www.equalify.me/

Follow the instructions on this and it should make Spotify louder.

Also for your other devices, please follow these steps:

  1.  Right Click the Volume Button
  2.  Click 'Playback Devices'
  3.  Right Click your output
  4.  Click 'Properties'
  5.  Click the 'Advanced' tab
  6.  Set your sound quality to the absolute maximum your computer can handle

Mine is 24-bit, 96khz.

After that, make sure all enhancements are off and set the equalizer, which shows up next to the search bar after you start playing music, to the default preset 'loudness' and enjoy feeling your eardrums melt. Hit the limiter and it will do its best to keep distortion at bay.

Hope this helps!

Okay thanks. I will try this when i'm back from work. But i don't understand why spotify do this. It's the same price, the same song, the same album, the same musician, the same world, but the volume is lower than it is in other streaming apps.

Thank you for your help.

i did all of your Tipps but it doesnt work. Der volume is to low. To low to make sport with headphones.

Yall shouldnt even be listening that loud, Iphone x here, volume is really loud. Itunes is louder, but the quality in spotify is superior.
