Hi, I'm about to travel abroad for a year. Many of the countries I will be in do not have Spotify yet. I have a Spotify premium membership and will mostly be listening to Spotify offline.
I know that you must go "Online" once every 30 days to verify that you still have an account, but does this mean you must be online in a country that currently has Spotify? Or does this just mean I need to have an internet connection and open up my spotify app?
I would hate to think I had access to hundreds of songs only to have Spotify stop working when I'm in the middle of Africa for 3 months.
Thanks!

It won't matter what country you're in, you just need to keep your Premium subscription active and to play a track over WiFi once every 30 days.
As a side note, don't delete the Spotify app or reinstall in a country where Spotify isn't yet available as you won't be able to re-download the app. Hopefully you won't need to but just a heads up.
Have fun travelling, especially in Africa. I'm jealous! And here's a great (my favourite) travel song:
Edit: basically what Joe said. 😉
Hi. Sounds like an awesome trip you're going on. You just need to connect every 30 days and let the spotify app talk to the servers for a minute or two to avoid losing your offline playlists. The country doesn't matter.
Have a great trip 🙂

I'm a US resident but I'm living in Cape Verde for 3 months. I was using Spotify Free until my 14-days abroad period expired. I then upgraded to Spotify Premium so I can listen to Spotify for the next 2 and half months. However, when I try open spotify, I still get the message:
"Your country does not match the one set in your profile. To continue, update your profile or upgrade your spotify account for unlimited travel. If you need more help, see our help pages."
When I click on the link to upgrade my profile, it says that I have Spotify Premium. Why can't I log in then?
That's expected but easily fixed, thankfully. Just submit an online contact form and someone at Spotify will look into this for you. If you get an automated reply, make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply) and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.
