Spotify and Sonos Group

Spotify and Sonos Group

IOS -  Iphone, latest version of all.

Within the Sonos S2 app, I have created groups of speakers.

I can select Spotify as a source within the S2 app, and I can play to a group directly.

If I start from Spotify, I can only see individual devices, NOT the groups created in the Sonos app. I prefer using Spotify directly, rather than the Sonos app (its a bit clunky imho)

What I would like to do is:

Start playing something in Spotify

Click on the icon to send to a group

See the groups I've defined in Sonos there and send to the group directly.

Is this possible ? If not could it be implemented ?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

Can you head over to this article under How can I group rooms using the Spotify app and follow the steps that's provided in there to see if the issue persists?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply 🙂

Take care!

You can add your Spotify account to multiple Sonos systems. Note that you will only be able to play from your Spotify account on one system at a time. If you want to play Spotify on multiple systems simultaneously, you must add different Spotify accounts on each Sonos system.

Thanks! I can now see that option, today I learned, it seems to work about half of the time I select it (the other half it just spins and fails to connect but I guess that is sonos flake)
