The new Spotify 0.9.1 for iOS appears to have fixed the issue with Spotify crashing on the 2nd gen iPad Mini and iPad Air. I tested with my iPad Mini Retina and was able to get the app to start up and play several songs without crashing. The previous version 0.9.0 was constantly crashing on me. I still need to try it out on my iPad Air. But so far so good! At least on the iPad Mini it's back working.
Spotify crashing again, M2.. Oh what a surprise!
Got the same problem even after a reseting the ipad air...
Your not the only ones, there are scattered reports such as this one over on the release notes topic too.

It works on the Ipad Air now after udating the app 😃
I still experienced the app crashing on both my iphone5 and ipad2 after upgrading to 0.9.1. Turns out I had changed my password but instead of the app asking me to log in on start up, the browse screen would appear for a few seconds and then the app would completely crash. I was able to fix it by switching to airplane mode, starting the app and then selecting the playlist screen instead of the browse screen. When I turned airplane mode off, the Spotify app finally asked me to log in. Works fine now.
@Jeroengroeneweg - Does restarting your iPad by holding the home and lock buttons together until the apple logo appears on screen make any difference?
