Spotify crashes on startup iPhone5

I have been experiencing intermittent crashing with Spotify app on my iPhone5 with a premium account. Out of nowhere it will crash on start up and doesn't reopen. Here are the things I have tried/read/etc:

1. Delete app and reinstall
2. Close app, restart device
3. Delete app, restart device, reinstall
4. Log out, delete app, restart device, reinstall

I have read that the cache might get corrupted from time to time, but I cannot track a set of conditions that lead to the crash. It just seems to do it without provocation. The ONLY thing I can maybe see is when I let the app stay open and paused/stopped it crashes, but even then I don't understand why this started happening out of nowhere.Eventually it will work again, but there is no specific steps that lead it to work. It is as if it crashes and then decides to restart all by itself.
