Spotify crashes when I’m opening my camera

Hi everyone, 

lately, when I’m playing my playlist and then open camera up on my iPhone the music just stops and when I get back to the app I can see that the app skipped to next song.

im not on video mode, so the music shouldn’t stop because of it.. 

any help? Pls? iPhone 13 iOS 17.5

Interesting. Could you share the exact version of Spotify you're running, along with a short screen recording which captures this behavior in action so we can take a direct look at what's happening on your end?

If you haven't already, try performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article to see if that fixes it.

Hey everyone, hope all is going well. Whenever I have Spotify playing and I open my camera the app stops working suddenly. It even makes my Android Auto crash for some reason. Anyone knows if there's a fix? I've already given the app camera permission and it hasn't changed it's behavior.

If you haven't yet, we'd suggest you perform a clean reinstall of the app on your mobile device. By doing that the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this behavior. You can see the steps for a clean reinstall here.

We'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

• The make/model and OS of the affected device.
• The exact Spotify version you're running there.
• Does this happen when performing some action with the camera such as taking photos or videos, or does it happen immediately before you open it?
• Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update?
• Would you mind adding more details about how Android Auto crashed?
