There's an empty playlist folder on my iOS devices which cannot be seen on the desktop application. It used to be filled with other playlist folders and songs which weren't supposed to be there even though I never moved them there.
I've been able to succesfully remove the content residing within that particular playlist folder except for one other folder. Whenever I try to remove any of those two folders, the app crashes.
I've tried re-installing Spotify on my iPhone as well as on my iPad without any luck.
If possible, I would like to have my Spotify 'reset'.

i have the same issue (in my case the folder is called "Best Ofs").
Thank you very much!
How did you fix this? Mine is doing the same thing. I have an empty "Nirvana" folder on my ipad and iphone that crash the app when I attempt to delete it. On the phone there is also a "B-Sides" empty folder with the same problem.
I am having the same issue. I am unable to use spotify on my phone now, it crashes once it has tried to load the playlists...
I am also having this problem. The fix hasn't ressolved anything.
Spotify, please can you look at this again?
Thanks
Hi,
I unfortunately have the same issue as well. I have four iOS devices which all share the issue. Uninstalling/reinstalling does not help.
I tried installing Spotify for iOS4 and noticed that it is not affected with this issue. I also tried creating a folder with same name and location on the computer but on iOS it just duplicates it. Then deleting it on computer but of course the original still stays on iOS. on iOS I can also add songs there and remove them but as soon as I try to remove the folder itself the app crashes. Weirdly there's a sort of "double" remove icon (minus on red circle) when clicking the edit button with this folder and also it show is is synced offline (although it does not contain any songs) and I cannot unsync it.
This is folder in question is on the "top level" but there is one ghost folder as a subfolder as well (Albums -> Albums U-X -> Albums U-Z). Albums U-X is the ghost folder. It does not show on computer. On the computer Albums U-Z is directly under Albums folder as it should... The other bempty Ghost folder is on the same level as Albums and named Albums Y-Z. I guess I at some point created these two (U-X & Z-Y) and then noticed that no albums in Y-Z and decided to combine them. For some reason they started hounting on iOS devices after some app update a few months back...
Please help! 🙂
I have the same problem, an empty folder called "Barnens" in the bottom of my list that will chrash the app if i try to delete it. It is not displayed in the desktop app and can not be renamed or moved.
I am very greatful if you can solve this issue as done for RobinGroeneveld two weeks ago.
Thanks!
Martin
Thanks!
It is deleted now.
Thank you for a great support!

Should be fixed now. Are you able to delete it / move it now?
Hi,
can you plese fix mine as well (see the post before Martin's)? The folder that needs to be deleted is "Albumit Y-Z" and it is on the bottom of the list in my Sopoty on iOS. The other folder needing to be deleted is the last one under "Albumit" called "Albumit U-X". However, I need the folder below this to be moved to the previous level so that the last two under "Albumit" would be "Albumit R-T" and "Albumit U-Z" (there are song in U-Z folder):
Albumit Albumit 0-9 ... Albumit R-T Albumit U-Z
Thanks and regards,
Antti
Hello David, please fix mine too, I posted 2 weeks ago about this.
As I mentioned before, on my iPad there is an empty Nirvana folder and on the iPhone there are two broken empty folders: the Nirvana folder and also a B-Sides folder.
Both empty folders are in the top level of my playlists. Those folders do not show up on the desktop app and crash the IOS apps when I attempt to delete them. I also get that weird double delete icon on the iOS.
if you could let us know a way to fix or prevent this from happening it would be helpful too. Thanks!
Hi,
I am having the same problem. I have a playlist folder named 'Chris' that I can't delete. Please can this be fixed.
Thanks
Chris
I have the same problem: I have an Iphone 5; my mobile app seems to have created a folder of one of the bands, which contains loads of other playlists within it, one of which I open up to discover a load more playlists. So I have folders within folders which do not tally with my desktop Spotify; i.e. I have not intentionally created them. I have tried deleting the top level playlist folder (as you cannot delete within a folder on mobile app) however the app just crashes every time I try. Probably because there are over 2000 tracks within the folder. I've tried re-installing the appbut it is the same.
Help!
Hello David (or any other Moderator) - how about looking into the problems of the rest of us, seemed like an easy fix with Martin so I assume it would not be impossible to fix ours as well...:)
Thanks,
Antti
Hello,
still have the "ghost" playlists available on iOS devices, please help...:)
Hello, still requesting help in the earlier mentioned issues?
I have the same problem. It keeps and keeps crashing when deleting my "Party" folder. On iPad its crashing at the start of the app too. I think its the same problem (an error with that particular playlist-folder)
Still having the same issues as described above, please help!
