Spotify deleting offline songs

Spotify deleting offline songs

This is the 4th time this has happened in a month (twice this week alone). Spotify deleted all of my offline songs. I'm on iOS 10.2.1 and Spotify version 7.5.0.1023. I have about 2,000 songs saved offline on my iPhone 7. Each of these four times has been the same thing - I'm playing music in the morning, pause it, clear all open apps (including spotify), and turn off my phone to charge it. When I turn it back on, I'm prompted to sign into the app again and everything needs to be downloaded again. Maybe worth mentioning that I don't give cellular access to the app (it still uses too much data). The past few days I also tried not clearing the Spotify app before I turned off my phone and it still happened.

When I first contacted support, they said I had a "Duplicate Cache" on my account. They told me they'd delete the extra and I only needed to uninstall and re-install the app. I did that (twice) and it's still happening. My storage is nowhere near full, I haven't done anything funny with my phone with jailbreaking or cache clearing apps.

Anyone have a similar problem?

Here, I have the same problem all over the year. This year mostly once per month.

I contacted spotify several times, always same answer. Duplicate cache problem - delete everything and reinstall . Sure when I'm at home I can do so, but offline data was often deleted as I was on the train for couple of hours - and in germany that means you are **bleep**ed with mobile internet.

I'm frustrated - the last time the support didn't even respond to my request.

This STILL happens to me. I thought it was fixed, but after iOS 11, it's as bad as ever. I think I have narrowed the problem down to Bluetooth. This only happens when I'm in my car (connected to its bluetooth) and I have to restart the app. Every single time my phone crashes and I'm in my car Spotify signs me out and I have to download everything. That might not sound like much of a problem, BUT, also with iOS 11 is that nasty bug where your song information disappears from the lockscreen. When that happens, I can't control the music from the controls on my steering wheel. So I reboot my phone constantly because that bug happens constantly. It's a pain in the **bleep**. I'm trying to not be a distracted driver, which is why I need Bluetooth controls, but Bluetooth is what's causing this whole mess.

Anyway, this is still a problem for me.
