Spotify doesn't appear after I already downloaded it (iPad mini)

So I downloaded Spotify on my new iPad mini so I could later try the free premium month, but when the download was done and I clicked the "Open" option on the Spotify icon on the "Purchased" tab, nothing happens. The Spotify app doesn't appear on the homepage along with the rest of the apps and even Siri can't find it. I need help. I wouldn't want to buy Spotify Premium if it isn't going to work on my iPad mini.
