Hey there @Giovag,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

Could you try logging out, restarting your device, and logging back in? If that doesn't make any difference, try running a clean reinstall of the app by following these steps to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

If the behavior persists, can you let us know when it started happening again and if it was after a specific event, such as an app or OS update?

We'll be on the lookout.

My Question or Issue

Hi,

This is an update of my previous post where I showed the return of an annoying scrolling bug.
After some investigations, (various clean reinstall of the spotify app and account changes) I found that the problem are my downloaded songs. I’ve about 2000 downloaded songs in high quality, most of them are conteined in a large playlist with a duration of 32 hours.

I found that problem because after a clean reinstall of the app, I selected this playlist and the scrolling was fine. Then, after re-downloading my songs though, the bug is back.
P.S.: i don’t wanna change my account please

the bug is showed in my previous post, nothing has changed with the updates (now i’ve the latest version, 8.6.68.1328)

Hi again @Giovag,

Thanks for keeping us posted.

To keep things more organized, we suggest replying on the same thread you had already started instead of creating a new thread. I went ahead and merged both threads to keep the conversation going in only one place.

We can confirm that having/navigating through large playlists can have an impact on the app's performance and it may not feel as smooth as desired. A way to prevent this is to split your large playlist into smaller ones.

We're constantly running improvements for the app and the overall experience, especially with newer OS versions, so although we can't commit to a timeframe for when or if this will be fixed, we'll make sure to pass your feedback on to the right folks.

Hi,

sorry if i created a new topic :’)

Anyway, it also lags with small playlists, so there isn’t a solution

The cool thing is that this bug didn't exist until a few versions ago🤦🏻‍♂️

Hi @Giovag,

Thanks for the reply.

Could you check if this is happening while in online mode(both on WiFi and Mobile data) and in offline mode?

Let us know how it goes.
