Hello @NilsArne. Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

That's not good to hear your iPad is filling up with other files, so let's look into this issue to see why that is happening.

Spotify will try to cache a certain amount of data for smooth playback, even if you're not Downloading tracks for offline playback with a Premium Account. This ensures music playback is fairly smooth, and doesn't skip in the event of networking delays or internet slowdowns. Spotify data will show up as Other Data because it's App specific, and can't be read as normal music files, which is why it doesn't show up as Music in your iPads' storage usage.

What capacity is your iPad? 16GB models only have around 11GB of useable space after updating to the latest iOS, which may be used by your other Apps, photos, iTunes files (music/videos), and other App data. You can check this by going into the Settings App > General > Usage and waiting for it to calculate what is using your data.

You should be able to clear this used space by deleting and re-downloading the Spotify app, or possibly from the Settings menu inside the Spotify Mobile App, if there's an option. (I don't have my iPad with me right now, so I can't check.)

Let me know if this helps you out and keep on rockin'!

Yesterday I reset my Ipad again...   and testing it out with Spotify today...

hoping that "other-files" dont start to fill up....     Have a 16 GB..   but never had a problem like these last weeks...   9GB with "other-files" filling up my Ipad in just days...   thats sucks...
