Spotify is running insanely slow on my iphone 7 plus

Spotify is unresponsive, and only ever plays one song in a playlist (and it lags). This began last week. Before that I had no issues.

I only have about 20 playlists. I probably have about 150 liked songs. My iphone has spare storage space. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

We know that you already performed a reinstall, however, I'd like to suggest a clean reinstall as this is more thorough than a regular one and can help get rid of any cache that might be causing issues on your device. You can do so by following these steps.

If you have access to another iOS device from a friend or relative, it would also be helpful to check if you can replicate this behavior on it, just to make sure it's not an account-related issue.

Every time I open the app or try to open a playlist or search music and sometimes when skipping songs the app responds incredibly slow, a few other people I know are having a similar problem. Our devices are up to date and I have enough storage on my device.
