Spotify not playing off Wifi

Spotify not playing off Wifi

This seems to be an every couple of years issue from the posts I've read, with the last posts on this topic showing from 2015.  When I play Spotify off cellular data, if functions normally, but when connected to Wifi, it won't play anything unless it's already downloaded.  My last update from Spotify was on 15 February, 2017.  

 

After 30 seconds to a couple of minutes, it will connect finally (telling me I'm offline for all the time until it connects) but then when I play a track, it's frozen at 0:00.  The only way to get a track to play is to disconnect from Wifi and use my cellular data.  

 

This is super frustrating, as a premium subscriber.  Please advise.

 

(FYI, I've checked all of the settings in app and on my iPhone 6.)

Hey @rockyd! Welcome to the community!

That's not alright! Could you try to use Spotify on a different Wi-Fi network? Let me know if it works on there.

Thanks for your response.  So, I've tested Spotify on other Wifi networks and it streams tracks that I haven't previously downloaded with no problems off others' Wifi networks.  I'm going to attempt a master reset of my router and see if that solves the problem.

Master reset on my Wifi router seems to have done the trick!
