Spotify not working at all on my Iphone 4 with iOS 5

I have spotify premium on my Iphone 4, and I had several playlists synced as able to play off-line.  Two weeks ago, I was listening to a song from that playlist and the song stopped about half-way through. I tried playing another one and I had the same problem.  In order to fix this problem, I tried updating the app. This did not help. So I then tried removing the app, re-downloading it and re-syncing my playlists.  Now, not only will my playlists not sync, but spoify will not play any songs even when I am online (the radio will not work either). I have tried again this week to re-download the app, which has not helped the issues.  As a premium customer, all of those functions should be working on my mobile. Can someone please give me a contact number or email to get help with this problem if I cannot get an answer on here?

Hey rachelZ, welcome to the Community.

 

Sorry to hear you're having this issue. The first thing I'd like to try is resetting your offline devices, as it's possible you've hit the three-device limit and it's not letting you sync any further.


If we do this you'll need to resync all your offline content again afterwards. But it is definitely worth trying.

So I need to reset my iPhone? Or you will reset my account?

He's resetting the account.

I just got my iphone a few weeks ago and I want to sync my songs from my spotify account on my computer to my iphone and it's not working. It showed up on the spotify account and  iclicked the playlists I wanted but nothing happened. and it says that spotify is offline on my phone, even though im connected to wifi right now. It shows the names of my playlists but says 0 songs.. how do I get my songs from spotify onto my iphone?

Are you resetting my account or not? It's still not working and I'm getting really irritated that I'm paying for it not to work. Please let me know if someone is resetting or give me a phone number to contact so I can sort this out.

Hello, I am having this same issue with not being able to play the music on my phone. I do not have anything Synced and I do not make my music available offline. I am paying for premium and I haven't been able to listen to music on my phone in over 3 weeks. The other day one of my songs played for about 20 seconds and then paused on me. I tried starting another song after that and got nothing.

Same here. Stopped working on my iPhone a few days ago. Songs would play half way then just stop. Have reinstalled it three times now. Working fine on my ipad but that's not what I use in my car. Haven't had any problems in all my time with Spotify, would hate to cancel but what good is paying if I can't access like I used to?

Support said to reinstall, I did.
Make sure I have enough memory, I do.
Make files available offline, well that would eat up my memory available wouldn't it??
After reinstalling all I get is that my playlists are loading........

Installed the Spotify for iOS 4 app and that seems to be working. Wondering why an old version of Spotify is now working when the newer one had been jus fine up until a few days ago.

I have exactly the same issue! It's driving me nuts!

 

It worked fine until last Friday, when it started play 1:20 of every song. I tried to reinstall it, and now I can't listen to any song at all - it won't play?!

 

Have reinstalled it dozen of times, but nothing happens.

 

What to do?

Yes I am having the same problem at the 1:20 mark.

I am having the same issue...the app won't wok on my phone, tried everything, reinstalling, deleting browsing history on my phone, etc. and still can't get it to work.

This just started happening on my iPhone 4 as well - it didn't happen until the most recent upgrade. I think it's a bug that needs to be fixed ASAP otherwise what am I paying for?

It would be great if we could get some more information from you guys about the exact problems you're having.

 

For instance:

- What exactly happens when you try to use the app?

- Any error messages?

- Can you reliably reproduce the exact steps for the issue?

- What version of the app are you using? Have you tried a reinstall?

- Which iOS version are you using?

Richard- I will answer each question.

When I use the app I can start to play any song and around the 1:20 mark of the first song I play it will stop playing. If I rewind the song back a little it will continue to play for a little longer but eventually stop playing again within that song. If I go to the next track it just won't play at all.

I do not get any error messages.

I have tried time after time to get the app to work but always produce the same results.

I have tried the newest version of the app, uninstalled then reinstalled numerous times but I now have the iOS 4 version and am getting the same results, reinstalled a few times.

I am using the most updated version of iOS for my Verizon iPhone 4.

Please help, as I swear by this app all the time and absolutely love it. I would hate to get rid of it.

I too lost the ability to play Spotify 2 days ago. All I get is a blank screen. I have plenty of room on my phone and had enabled offline content. I tried your troubleshooting, clearing Safari of cookies etc and reinstalling with no success. I tried the older version of the Spotify app and all I got was a continuously loading page. I hope this gets fixed soon since I mainly use Spotify on my iPhone. Also, I haven't exceeded the 3 device limit.

I am having the same difficulty that many people have mentioned. I bought Spotify Premium 10 days ago to take on a trip with me. The icon on my IPad would just bring up a blank "Loading" page and never played anything. My Android phone would bring up Spotify but would never play any of my playlists, even thought I had downloaded them before I left home. When I clicked on them, during the trip it would stay stuck on "Loading." It has been a total waste of money so far. That was with wifi available and a hotspot for my iPad.
