Spotify on iPhone 5

Spotify on iPhone 5

Operating System

iOS 10.3.4

My Question or Issue

We were using an old iPod touch (Model A1421, October 2012) to play music in our restaurant. Now that this device is totally broken, we had to change to an iPhone 5 (Model A1429) which is running iOS 10.3.4. There was no issue to load Spotify, but no matter what we're doing, we are not able to login. Username and Password are 100% correct as we can login on other devices ....
Dear Spotify-Community, help us to fix this problem, so our guest can listen to music again!

Hi there @wirzhaus,

Thanks for the post!

You won't be able to run Spotify on this iPhone, as the minimum system requirement is a device that can run iOS 12 or above. You can check here for more info.

You'd need to use another phone or a computer to run Spotify.

Hope this clears things up. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.

Hey @wirzhaus, welcome to the Community.

Hope you're doing great!

As @Alex mentioned previously, Spotify no longer supports iOS 10 and 11, so it would be best to run Spotify on a device that runs at least iOS 12.

However, I would suggest trying to reset/change the password or try with a newly created account to see if you can login.

Hope it helps 🙂
