Spotify pauses on its own (iPad Mini 4, iOS 12)

My Question or Issue

I have my iPad turned on 24/7 playing music out of my amplifier. Whenever I come back to it in the morning, the music is paused. There’s no reason it should be pausing, it’s not getting any inputs from anything that would make it pause. I use the remote to turn on the amp when I first walk into the room, and I keep the iPad playing 24/7 so that right when I turn on the amp, the music starts playing, but the iPad is always paused. I don’t turn it off with the amp.

Could you try a clean reinstall of the Spotify app? If that doesn't help, please send me a screenshot of any error messages being shown.

Do you have some kind of battery-saving app? If so, please make sure that the Spotify app is set as an exception.

No. Do you know if Spotify just pauses itself automatically after playing for a certain amount of time?

Could you let me know the following info:

• Does this happen when you are trying to listen to a certain playlist? Do you have it on repeat?  
• Does the same happen when using a different device to connect to your amplifier? If not, please make sure that your iPad device is up to speed with any updates.
• What's your version of the Spotify app you're currently on?

Also, to answer your question- Spotify shouldn't pause after a certain amount of time.
