Hi all,
I'm really desperated. Already read all about this issue here in the forum.
On my iPhone 8 Plus with iOS 12.1 and the latest Spotify app I always get the message that I'm offline when using LTE or 3G. When connected to WiFi everything is ok.
I already uninstalled the app, restartet the iPhone, reinstalled the app, no solution. And again I have to download all my offline stuff again. Very annoying!
Isn't there a real solution to this problem? I really like Spotify, but i can't enjoy it when I'm on the raod.
Please, please help!
Thomas
Hi,
I think this is more likely an issue with your LTE / 4G distribuitor. I also have the iPhone 8 Plus on IOS 12.1 and don’t have this problem, so it is definetely not a problem with the phone or software.
Your problem might be one of these issues.
1. 4G restrictions, some people’s 4G automatically blocks when they run out so that they dont go over. If you have this issue consider contacting your 4G company.
2. Your Spotify playlists aren’t downloaded. It can be something as simple as this. Spotify playlists don’t work offline unless you have premium and downloaded the playlist (3333 songs maximum!)
3. Your Wifi network does not permit the use of spotify. To fix this, download a vpn.
There are many more problems which could be going on, so I suggest you troubleshoot the issue so that we can provide a more descriptive answer regarding your issue. Try doing thigs such as redownloading a playlist or, trying to contact your 4G distribuitor.
Hope this helped!
Thanks for your quick answer!
But it's definitely not a problem with my provider. I had an Android phone before with the same provider and SIM card and there it worked perfectly.
Also I'm an engineer in the IT business and think I have a bit of an idea how to use my iPhone. But I'd be happy to learn something new.
Thanks again!
Forgot to say, I have Premium and some Playlists are downloaded and available offline. But I want to listen and download online with my 3G or LTE connection as I was used to with my Sony.
Thanks again, but tried this already. Everything else is working fine with LTE and 3G, too. It's only Spotify... Desperated...
Sorry, but again this is set as well.
Very strange!
After disabling and re-enabling DOWNLOAD USING CELLULAR several times it‘s working now.
Hi Thomas,
I had the same problem.
In my case it was because Settings|Mobile Data|Spotify was set to off.
You should also ensure that Settings|Mobile Data|Mobile Data Options|Low Data Mode is set to off
God luck,
Richard
Hi thomas
im having the exact same problem. Can only play my downloaded tracks not search for any new ones - just get a message saying connect to the internet, which I already am and every other app is able to use the internet. I don’t have WiFi at the moment so I need to use cellular data. How did you fix the problem in the end? Thanks, Katie
