Spotify showing up on IPhone

Hello,

My partner and I share a spotify account. When I’m at work and she’s using the account I get the Spotify screen on my iPhone and the Spotify app then over takes my Iwatch.

I’ve tried closing the app however it still shows my partner listening to it on both my phone and watch.

is there any way to disable this so that Spotify will only activate on my phone when I have the app running?

That's the expected behaviour.

You can only stream only 1 device at a time with 1 Spotify account.

If you would like so each of you have their own account and listen independently, you can upgrade to Premium for Family.

Or you can download the songs for offline listening so when one is trying to stream the other can listen offline and vice versa.
