Spotify stops playing after 1minute

Solved!

Spotify stops playing after 1minute

Since you guys wouldn't give the other once a helpful answer I hope you'll finally take your te and listen/read this.

So for 2weeks I've had the same problem, my tracks starts playing but stops again at 1minute, and it doesn't stop in a way that it isn't synced, there just the music that stops coming an the play button is still there (as if it's playing normally).
I've tried:
Reinstalling spotify
Restarting my iPhone
Synced with my computer
Restarted my wifi/Internet
Used offline playlist (all tracks fully synced)

So where is the real problem my dear spotify crew? I've tried all of the stuff you've told me and others. Nothing helped anyone of us. I'm so furious I could probably throw my iPhone out of the window, I miss my daily music. Don't ignore this problem like I've seen some other posts getting ignored.. It's a great concept that you're having with spotify and it's just truly sad that my spotify havnt been working properly for about 2weeks.

doesn't help! no it stops at 1.29! And it stops both streaming and offline songs...

Oh dear! Okay, next step. Let's try a clean installation. Bear in mind that any offline playlists will need to be resynced after doing this.

You can find instructions on how to do this right here.

After doing this, try shutting down every other application down from the multitask menu, and try changing the sound / sync quality before playing tracks.

I'm having the same problem!

thanks, this worked!

I have the exact same problem... All offline files and steaming files stop playing after 1:30 secs.. No one has confirmed why this happens?

What will happen to all my 3500 offline songs on my iPhone that I haven't sync'd? And the 3000 odd additional songs that are sitting in my playlists that aren't sync'd?

It's the same problem I have... Crazy stuff I don't mind reinstalling spotify but what's going to happen to the 7500 odd songs on my playlist... 1:30 is the max anything plays... I want my money back or I'm gone

Description

All offline files and steaming files stop playing after 1:30 secs

A more detailed description, using numbered steps
1. I opened the spotify app
2. Then I tried playing songs from my offline playlist and every one of them stopped after about 1 min 30 secs..
3. The app looked like it should be playing the song as it was showing the play sign... When I moved the slider further to the middle of the song, it started playing again but stopped after aprox 1:30 again
3. I tried streaming songs and the same thing again
4. I also cleared the cache from safari as per troubleshooting tips
5. then tried again and the Same thing happened

What I expected to happen
I expect the app to play the songs from start to finish whether streaming or offline

I have the same problem, playback stops 😞

NOT a great start to my Spotify trial!

iPad 3 with latest iOS 5 and Spotify app version,

Marked as solution

Apologies for repeating part of what I have said previously - But the steps I posted here appear to have got this issue fixed for one user. How about you guys?

Spotify appears to work just fine on my iPhone now, without me doing anything at all! Hopefully it'll last... It's been working for two days now, since friday.

It seems to be working for me.

but still, hope find one out with an update to sort it without having to delete, restart and reinstall!

/M

Unfortunately its also not working for me on the iphone - re-boot, re-installation, re-sign in, its a bit crazy!

The song goes for 20 seconds, and then when it stops, I try to move onto the next song, which also gets stuck - and does not play at all. It seems that it takes forever to load and just does not want to play anything - also from my starred list or radio (which does not even load).

All thanks to the automatic updates?

HELP!  Do I get a refund/credit  on my premium acct, this is bit crazy!

(Guess this issue is moving downwards to NL as well!)

Hi, i tried all proposed solutions like restarting Spotify in my iPhone and when that didnt work made a clean installation on the computer. Still music stops efter 40 sec - 1m 30 sec depending on the music quality settings.

Whats next step???

So far the clean installation seams to have done the job on my ipad...ill get in touch when ive tried the same for my iphone. Thanx David for your support! Youve been very helpfull and understanding:) Kudos goes to you

Hey David, I can't do a clean install of the spotify app till I'm sure that I don't have to reload all my favorites, playlists... Really this is a workaround - not a solution... I'd like to know the reason for this as who is to say this won't happen again?
