Spotify stops playing on iPhone when Macbook sleeps

Solved!

Spotify stops playing on iPhone when Macbook sleeps

I listen to Spotify on my Macbook, iPhone, and Sonos. No matter which device I am using, Spotify will stop playing when my Macbook goes to sleep. I could be driving in my car with my Macbook at home, and, once my Macbook goes to sleep, it pauses Spotify in my car. I can then un-pause and keep listening.

Anyone have any idea why my Macbook sleeping is causing Spotify to stop on other devices?

Hey @kmp765, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Hmm, let's see what device could be causing the issue exactly. Could you try restarting your MacBook? If that doesn't help, try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps.

Let me know how this goes!

It looks like the key step was to clear the Spotify cache on my macbook (from the steps in the link you provided). It seems to be resolved now. Thank you!
