Spotify won’t continue playing from playlist

My Question or Issue

My Spotify no longer sticks to a selected playlist or album. It’ll play the first song that I select or when I click shuffle and every following song will be related to the first song but not actually in the playlist or album that I selected.

Make sure that your Queue is empty.

As @kmspot already suggested, make sure your play queue us empty. If that doesn't work, restart your device and then reinstall the app. 

Let us know how it goes, and give us more info about what's happening. A step-by-step example would be great.
