Spotify won't play the playlist I ask it to play

Whenever I click on a playlist to listen to on Spotify, it will play one song from that playlist and then continue to play songs from another playlist that I created. I've tried to listen both on my Mac and my Iphone and there is the same problem either way. There is no solution that I've found, as the screen always shows that music is playing from the playlist that I clicked "play" on when it is really playing from the other playlist.
