I am having the same exact problem.
Same issue here... iPhone 4s and new iPad... Neither will allow for playlist playback and my account shows premium.
I'm having the exact same problem, it works on my desktop but not iphone 4...

From the looks of it, it seems you're all having the same issue of not being able to play your music on your iPhone's. Before I can try to offer a solution, do all of you have a laptop or a desktop with the Spotify Desktop app on it with your playlists?

Just to clarify, you're granted ad-supported unlimited plays (other restrictions apply to other countries outside of the US) of your favorite tracks on the desktop version of Spotify. In order to listen to music on demand on any other device (i.e. your iPhone), you will need to subscribe to Spotify Premium. Otherwise, you will only be able to use the radio function (other restrictions apply to other countries outside of the US).
Please note, you're more than free, are encouraged, and welcome to try out Spotify Premium on your mobile devices if you haven't already done so. There are trials you can use to your advantage to check out the awesome benefits of having Spotify Premium.
If you already have Spotify Premium, it may take some time for the subscription status to sync across all of your devices.
