Synced songs are greying out randomly...

Synced songs are greying out randomly...

iOS 8 iPhone 5
iOS 7 iPhone 5
Spotify 2.6.0.2113

Problem started around January.

Attempting to upgrade to iOS 8.2 to see how it effects the problem.

Essentially I have music Synced on my desktop computer that I sync to my iPhones and has been working flawlessly till around January.

Now after a few plays the synced tracks remain synced but grey out. I cannot unsync them and the only option is to do a complete uninstall and reinstall on the iOS device and download the music from the desktop PC to the iPhone again. After the 3rd time of this bug I am really getting irritated. This happens on both my iOS 7 and iOS 8 iPhones.

Some songs stay synced and work, but the same ones keep doing this over and over.... I have the musically locally on the desktop and it is fully functional on that desktop.

I've been having a similar problem on my iPhone 6 and iPod Touch 5th gen. The iPod Touch is jailbroken on 7.1.2; the iPhone 6 is not jailbroken on 8.2 (but the problem was also happening on previous 8.x versions).

The problem (at least for me) seems to be that whenever the Spotify app is updated, the app deletes all of the synced files. I just checked this theory on my iPod: before updating to the latest version of Spotify, all of my synced files were playable. After updating, they were all grayed out.

FYI the Songs count on the About screen don't include Spotify synced songs.

I believe the synced songs issue has been flagged as an issue with the Spotify developers before. It's definitely affecting multiple people, all we can do is hold out for a bug fix to come through, and keep reporting it in the mean time!

that was just to show the iOS version and iPhone Model Number for the iOs Build.
