Syncing a song from computer to iPad - song won't download

Hello! We decided to spotify DJ our wedding and have created a bunch of playlists to use throughout the day. It's all worked well except for one thing. One song - our processional song - was cropped to fit the length we needed. I was able to save the song in iTunes, and sync it into Spotify on my computer, but for whatever reason it just will not sync onto my iPad. 

On the iPad when I try to tap the song is says "Song not downladed" and gives me instructions to sync the song into the iPad - it says to connect everything to the same wifi and mark the playlist for offline sync which I assume means toggle the "Download" button, which I have done on both the computer and the iPad. Nothing happens. I can see the song but cannot play it from the iPad, only the laptop. I'd really prefer to just bring the iPad instead of the full laptop to the wedding but kind of at a loss now. 

Any advice?
