Time slider is not moving when lyrics for a song is in full screen mode

Device

Iphone 13 pro

Operating System

iOS 15.6.1

Spotify app version 8.764

My Question or Issue

Start listening to any song

Open lyrics and tap More to open it on full screen

The slider stops at the time you open this screen (for example, 0:02) and is not moving whole the song plays. You can use the slider to search for a place in a song but when you leave it, it remains in one place.

Hi there @Defixio

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

First up, we suggest that you try logging out and then logging back in to your account on your phone to see if that makes the difference.

If this doesn't do the trick, it's well worth running a clean reinstall to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

If the issue persists afterwards, would you mind checking if the same happens while using a different internet connection?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hi Eni,

Thank you for your reply. I've just tried logging out, removing the app and then reinstalling it from the App Store - the problem persists.

Hey @Defixio

Thanks for getting back to us.

Just to confirm, have you tried with a different internet connection?

On another note, would you mind asking a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your phone to check if they can replicate this?

Lastly, we suggest that you check if the OS of your phone has any pending updates.

Keep us posted.

Hi Eni,

The issue is reproducible on LTE and Wi-fi. It is reproducible on another iPhone (12 pro) with different and my Spotify accounts. It is reproducible with new IOS 16 on my iPhone.

Hey @Defixio,

Thanks for taking the time to test this.

We've forwarded the information gathered here to our tech team for further review. We don't have official info on when this will be resolved, however we recommend you to keep your apps up to date, not to miss the rolling out of new features and eventual fixes.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help with.

Take care!
