Turning shuffle off goes back to the top of the playlist

When I select shuffle and then I want to
turn shuffle off when I am at an artist in my list I want to continue listening to, playback starts back at the top of the playlist. Is this a bug? It used to function fine and pick up at the next song in the list.

This behavior with the Shuffle mode could be related to some damaged cache stored on your device. So in this case, and if you haven't tried before, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This process will replace possible damaged files and ensure you're running the latest app version.

If the issue persists, include in your next response the make, model, and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.
