Using Spotify

Hey,
As you can see, I like to organise my Spotify display so I have a folder for all the artists in my "library", similar to iTunes (I've lost my itunes library twice now in the past two years) (this also helps for shuffling).
Now since the update (which I discovered just a few hours ago), I seem to be unable to do that. Normally I'd just click on where I want my "new artist" to go then click on New Playlist under File, but that's gone now. Now when I click on New Playlist (above the now playing section), it takes me to the top of my playlists, no matter where I am.
How do I sort this? What's the point of this "change" and why doesn't Spotify want its users using the folders option?
