Unable to log in

I have attempted to log into my account using my new iphone 7 via the Spotify app. I click LOG IN but receive a message to say I already have an account with the email address. (Please note: I am not selecting sign up) I logged out of Spotify with my old phone and cannot log back in. I tried logging in with Facebook. It recognised that I had already authorised Sportify on FB but in my new phone I get a 404 error and my old phone it just attempts to sign in forever. I am able to log into my account on the website.

Please try logging in with your username and password, instead of your email address and password.

Thank you! That worked perfectly. Hopefully this solution is easily accessible for the next person as I wasn't able to find this suggestion.
