I’ve searched for an hour and can’t figure out what this “new and improved” feature is that, as usual, I don’t need or want. Top of the playlist there is a mini cover art that gives me 8 seconds or so of some of the songs in the playlist…. What is this called and how can I get rid of it.
I made my playlist, why the **bleep** do I need a Tik Tok style mashup of a playlist that I created.
As usual, Spotify adding bloat that paying subscribers don’t want. Thanks for anyone’s help identifying this junk.

My Question or Issue
Hey there @black11escape,
Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.
We're sorry to know that you don't enjoy this new feature. We’re always testing possible improvements and new features, so you might see something on the app that other users don't, or get a brand-new feature for only a temporary period.
We're afraid it's currently not possible to remove it, but we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. We'll make sure to pass it onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience.
If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.
What is this feature called and what is it’s purpose?
Hey @black11escape,
Thanks for your reply.
The feature is called Explore this playlist. It allows you to explore 30s preview of tracks inside a playlist, so you can discover new music content without playing the entire playlist per se.
We really appreciate all your feedback. If you have further suggestions on how this feature or the app can be improved, feel free to post your ideas on our Ideas board. Remember to follow our Idea Exchange Guidelines, so others can find your suggestion easily and can show their support. The wording it's also important, so we encourage you to contribute constructively.
We'll be here if anything else comes up. Once again, thanks for the feedback.
Great find, @black11escape,
Thanks! It's an Easter Egg in this video game with a greatly improved access to tracks, artists, or genre resembling whatever the Easter Egg is right under!-- my family accounts all tell me. Now I will try it more . . . .
Spotify Android, v. 8.9.52.552
This preview rectangle in a playlist I created years ago is now playing a very vivid flashing/strobing video that gives me a headache if in my line of sight for more than a few seconds. I can't imagine what it would do to someone more photosensitive.
The rectangle briefly shows the song's album art when the playlist is opened, but then immediately switches to the strobing/flashing. If I tap into the preview, it loads a looping video of the artist under a strobe light effect that makes me outright nauseous instantly.
I have every video-related setting that I can find disabled in my settings for a reason. Is there anything else I can do to stop the preview button from loading video?! A few weeks ago it only showed the album art on the button for this playlist. 😞
Hello,
I have discovered this feature is extremely concerrning becuase it is showing very inappropriate videos on my teenage kid playlists, even when the actual songs have Explicit Content turned on (not allowed). Check out what happens for the song Industry Baby featuring Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow, it is blurred out naked men dancing. This should NOT be showing up andt there most definitely should be a way to exclude any sort of video content like this on the MUSIC spotify app.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
