Whole album adding to playlist

Modes anyone know why when I'm adding a single track to my playlist it is adding the entire album that the single comes from? It's very annoying! Thanks

It adds all the tracks to your playlist? How are you adding the track exactly?

Via the app, I search for a song then click on it and tap the little circle icon with the three dots on it and 'add to playlist'. When I go into that playlist it only come up with the song I've added but when I play the playlist on shuffle it plays all the songs from the album that it's came from.... 😞

Where is this circle with 3 dots? You are using an android?

Touching the track starts it playing and adds the remaining album tracks to the play queue. Instead of doing that, just hit the 3 dots.

I'm using an iPhone. The circle with three dots inside is by the side of the tracks. I'm not touching the track but just the circle and adding that track to the playlist but all the album tracks still play when playing the playlist 😞

I can't reproduce this on my iPhone. Are you using Spotify Premium?

How many different artists are in the playlist you are adding tracks to? I'm wondering are you getting "suggested" tracks added into your play queue.
