Why does Spotify forget the last position in the playlist?

Specially using audio books it´s really anoing when you come back to Spotify an d it lost it´s last position in the playlist. Is there any feature to see the last played track?

Any way,  another topic regarding audio books is, that on many of the you can´t see the current track number in the palylist. Is there any view to change that?

As long as the app is not closed then it will not forget your last position. It can be annoying you could always make a playlist and before you close the app put the part of the audiobook in there. When you get back you can start where you left off and then delete the track from the playlist. On the other topic, you should be able to see the name of the part you are in in the audio book, which could be used to look at the playlist and how far you are into a book.
