Why won't music play?

I am very frustrated with spotify as it is not playing the music I select. My phone is an iphone 6s with no problems, it's up to date and so is spotify. When using spotify online or offline (mostly online), it will play a few seconds of the song selected then immediately stop. After this, it won't play the same song previously selected, not even the first few seconds. I have deleted and reinstalled the app numerous times, restarted my phone, etc. Is this an easy fix? Is anyone else experiencing this? It feels like I'm paying for nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
