Why won’t my podcast episodes play?

When I click play on a podcast episode it plays but with no sound. After a few seconds the podcast completely shuts down and doesn’t keep my saved episode in the player. I have tried on multiple occasions to restart the app, and even delete then reinstall the app on my IOS Apple IPhone but it doesn’t fix the issue.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome. 

We appreciate the troubleshooting you've tried so far, but just to be on the same page, did you use the steps for a clean reinstall mentioned in this article?

If so and the issue persists, would you mind trying with a different Wi-Fi connection to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can use your mobile data to test it. 

Lastly, include in your next response the model and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.
