Won't stay connected to blue tooth headphones

Won't stay connected to blue tooth headphones

I'm not sure if this has something to do with the new Spotify Connect but every thing I've read on it doesn't help my problem.

What is happening is that I'll be listening to Spotify via my blue tooth earbuds during my commute (I bus everywhere) I never encountered any issues using these headphones before but ever since Spotify updated, I am constantly interrupted by my music no longer coming through my headphones. It doesn't stop playing, it seems to be playing somewhere else. When I go to the device selection for it to play on, it shows that it is playing on "Dock Connector." I press the selection for my head phones again and it'll play for a couple minutes then jump back to Dock Connector. Sometimes it will go barely seconds before going back to the Dock Connector.

I have never in my life played Spotify via a "Dock" of any kind. Only headphones or through my phone speakers. I even tested it when I was at home by selecting Dock Connector to see if it would begin playing on my computer or iPad. Nope. I have no clue where it is going when it does this. I don't have a car so it's not going there. Where ever it is going, it is driving me crazy. I really don't want to have to replace my wireless headphones with corded ones.

If anyone can offer a solution, I would really appreciate it. My commute has gotten really annoying because I'm constantly having to go to my phone to switch back to my headphones. Is it possible that it's connecting to random cars that are driving by that have blue tooth enabled? That seems ridiculous but probable... I'm not connected to wifi when this happens. Sometimes when I'm just listening to my music through the speakers in my phone at home it connects to the Dock Connector. Whatever this Dock Connector is, I want it disabled/gone.
