My Question or Issue
Hi there. Everytime I try to play a song in my library by clicking the arrow for the next song in the playlist, I keep getting random instrumental music and I'm not sure why. I have the same issue for my phone and spotify for windows 10. I recently followed instrumental music playlist on Spotify. I've tried to sign out of all my devices in Spotify and change my password, but its still playing random songs whenever I try to click to the next song. Thanks.

Hi there!
I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.
Could you also make sure shuffle is off? Check the queue too to see if anything's in there.
If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
I'll see what I can suggest next!

Same bug for me - iPhone 7, iOS 12.4.1
Any type of queue is busted - albums, playlists, liked songs, etc. The first song in the queue plays fine. All subsequent songs are random, some completely unrelated to artist/genre.
And this is Premium, where it says one song, and plays another, within the Web player in Win 10 and Google Chrome, on Christmas Day!
Hey @mtjoy747,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community.
Could you let us know if the issue persists when you use an incognito browser? If it does, it would seem that the date stored in your browser is the reason for this happening. This can be avoided by clearing out your cache and cookies.
If that doesn't fix things, could you let us know if the songs display correctly when using another browser or in the app?
Keep us posted! We'll be happy to lend a hand if you need more help.
This is why Spotify sucks
Having a quite similar problem which keeps me going back to Amazon Music. Iselect a Blues playlist and it throws in a liked artist not in same genre over and over again...same artist but different song.
