album cover instead of the song when searching

I’m searching a song and it comes up. When pressing on it, it show the album the song is in instead of the actual song. It’s really annoying and in that way i can’t add it in my Liked folder. Im on IOS 17 and i have spotify free. Please fix this i’ve done every update and nothing changed.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community! 

As a free user there are some limitations to the experience of Spotify. Not being able to select songs is one of them, you can still listen to the artists work, but you will have to do it on shuffle. You should still be able to single out songs and add them to your Liked songs playlist though. 

We'd suggest clearing your devices cached data, as that might be the reason for this.
