Ipod nano 7 is not detected from Spotify

Hi! I'm new in Spotify and already got some problems. I want to connect my Ipod nano 7g to Spotify, but it doesn't work. I reinstall already Spotify, restarted minimum 10 times etc....... Anybody an idea what is the problem? thanks for an answer
